Vintage Hutschenreuther Favorit Bavaria Gravy Boat with Underplate

Vintage Hutschenreuther Favorit Bavaria Gravy Boat with Underplate

An elegant vintage porcelain gravy boat with matching underplate by Hutschenreuther of Selb, Bavaria, Germany. Its delicate botanical decoration, graceful silhouette and fine gold-tone detailing reflect the understated elegance of traditional European tableware.

The creamy white porcelain is decorated with slender grasses and botanical sprigs in muted green, warm brown and soft golden tones. Fine gold edging traces the gently curved pouring spout, sweeping handle and rim of the coordinating underplate.

The gravy boat features an elongated body, raised foot and graceful loop handle. Its matching oval underplate provides a finished presentation for the dining table or display cabinet.

The underside bears the Hutschenreuther Selb, Bavaria, Germany backstamp with the lion emblem and Favorit designation. Additional gold markings read 8926 and 27. The exact significance of these numbers has not been established.

A lovely addition to a collected table setting, particularly alongside classic white porcelain, antique linens and traditional gold-accented dinnerware.
